According to Ming Pao, a leading Chinese daily, and Asiaweek, a leading Chinese weekly magazine, Currents of the Spiritual Age (tentative translation), a collection of SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's peace proposals in the Chinese language, is a bestseller in Singapore. Ming Pao reported that the book placed second in the general category during April 2005, and Asiaweek, that it has placed third during the second week of May 2005. Released by major Hong Kong publisher Commercial Press in commemoration of the SGI's 30th anniversary, the book includes selected proposals by Mr. Ikeda, including his annual peace proposals, education proposals, and his historic 1968 proposal for the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan.
