| Min-On Cosponsors 18th Kyoto Foreign Students Music Festival |

| 140 international students studying in Kyoto and vicinity participated in the annual festival |
On November 26, some 140 international students from 23 countries and regions studying at universities and colleges in Kyoto and vicinity participated in the 18th Kyoto Foreign Students Music Festival at Kyoto Kaikan Hall, Kyoto City. Adorned in brilliantly hued costumes, the students presented traditional dances, songs and music of their respective countries. A student from Myanmar expressed hopes that the festival would contribute even one step to lasting peace in the world. The Min-On Concert Association, Kyoto City Music and Arts Promotion Foundation and the Kyoto Shimbun have cosponsored the annual festival over the years. Min-On annually cosponsors a similar festival in Osaka.
