| SGI-Korea's Arirang Fife-and-Drum Corps performs at international youth arts festival |
The SGI-Korea young women's Arirang Fife-and-Drum Corps performed in the 5th "Gangneung Youth Performing Arts Festival" from July 27-30, in Gangneung City, Gangwon Province, South Korea. Their dynamic performance, combined with graceful and intricate marching formations, drew approving applause from the audience. The festival brings together performing arts groups from throughout the world for the sake of fostering intercultural understanding. Some 15 groups from seven countries--South Korea, China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Japan, Russia and Germany--a total of 400 youth, participated in the event.
