| SGI-Uruguay Women Gather for First Leadership Training Course |
On March 29-30, 2008, the first SGI-Uruguay women's training course was held at five venues throughout the country, including the capital, Montevideo. Participants studied SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's lecture on the "Opening of the Eyes," one of Nichiren's major writings. They discussed goals toward 2030, the 100th anniversary of the Soka Gakkai's founding, and each determined to create lasting happiness based on the humanistic practice of Nichiren Buddhism.
